The Counselor provides a detailed description on Nuview’s program and gives specific information on the area in which the family will reside, ensuring that we meet the transferee’s family needs and expectations.

Nuview will identify appropriate hotels and temporary apartments according to the family’s needs and screen them carefully, assuring comfortable and high-quality accommodations at competitive prices.

The Counselor will accompany the client(s) to the Social Security office making sure that the documentation process has been completed

The Counselor provides the driver’s manual and a list of documentation required by the host state and some tips to have faster results. When the transferee and family members are prepared to take the test, the Counselor will accompany them to the DMV agency.

The Counselor provides information about documentation required to open a bank account, explain the options from Credit Unions to mayor leading Banks, and make the appropriate connections with office managers, ensuring that the transferee gets the best and fastest service possible. The Counselor will accompany the transferee if necessary.

Once the transferee has chosen the area in which the family is going to live, the Counselor will accompany the family to visit and recognize this area in order to understand their new life-style for a faster adaptation. The Counselor will provide information about emergency numbers, local doctors and dentists, hospitals, grocery stores, post offices, libraries, parks and recreation/community centers, places of worship, veterinaries, handymen, cleaning services.

Nuview understands that school is the first priority for families relocating with children. The counselor provides information about local school systems and special-needs curriculums. Related subjects like parental involvement and extracurricular activities will be discussed. The counselor will arrange appointments with school principals and accompanies the family to help with registration procedures.

The Counselor will help the transferee’s partner explore educational opportunities, volunteer activities and job fairs. Information on children’s sports, camps, youth associations and other activities will be provided, as well as babysitters and international au pairs resources.

The Counselor will discuss life-style and cultural differences related to social integration. Information about international social clubs, golf and tennis clubs among others will be provided.

The Counselor provides information and resources about car and life insurance, property insurance and umbrella coverage, financial planners, accountants, tax professionals, wills and document translators.

The Counselor will provide information and guidance on utility connections such as TV, Internet, phone, gas, electricity, alarm systems, garbage pickup and local recycling procedures. The Counselor will assist and arrange if necessary for all these connections to be done.

The Counselor will provide information on the best car dealers and appliances stores in the area, Consumer Report updates, and other specific information. The transferee will be accompanied if he/she desires, when making major purchases.

This on-site consultation is a specialized service that includes general advice and tips on: furnace and ac, pest control, sidewalk snow-shoveling regulations and curbside recycling, smoke and CO2 detectors, fire extinguishers, basement flooding and sump pumps, general home safety, and landscaping.
